Soft Washing

Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, remove bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.

Soft washing consumes just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and does not deteriorate or harm the surface like power washing frequently can. Soft washing also does so much more than pressure washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System do not just clean; they penetrate, sanitize, and completely remove the root of the issue.

Treating your roof with soft washing is more like bug control – the mix of safe, biodegradable chemicals guarantee that the bacteria that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but eliminated entirely.

Roof Cleaning and More

Soft washing can be carried out on a multitude of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The exact same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can likewise grow on:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Tile
  • Wood
  • Vinyl Siding
  • Aluminum
  • And more…

If you're looking for a way to get rid of what's growing on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of irritating pressure washing and use an option that can remove the problem 100%.

Biodegradable, Eco-Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash

Oftentimes, people hesitate when they hear the word "chemicals," however it's really not such a dirty word. In reality, everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).

The chemicals utilized in soft washing help break down contaminants and infestations, so they can be quickly rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days of their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.

4 Reasons to Use Soft Washing

There are a lot of reasons to select soft washing over pressure or power washing, however here are our biggest reasons:

  1. Substitute for pressure washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It may be suitable for some tasks and not others.

  2. It actually treats the infestation
Your house isn't just dirty – it's contaminated. Regular pressure washing only gets rid of the outer layer of this biomass and does not fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after pressure washing is completed.

  3. No damage from pressure
Inadequately trained or inexperienced power washers can cause severe damage to a roof or other surfaces, especially if it's older to begin with.

  4. More eco-friendly cleaning option
Power washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of washing a pressure washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing only uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.

The cleaning solution is so effective that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than pressure washing. Making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
